The forum recently held consultation events to gather people’s views on their draft Wales Guidance on best practice in Service User and Carer Engagement . The draft document which was commissioned by Welsh Government and developed by the forum aims to lay out the basis for a consistent approach across Wales.
The Guidance looked at 3 key areas
- Engagement
- Recruitment and
- Renumeration
Now that the the consultation has closed, the Forum gathered all feedback from the consultation to create a revised guidance document. We have had a huge response across the consultation process and have been working hard to incorporate the recommendations made.
We recognise how important it is to get this right, but we also realise there has been a long delay since you heard from us. Just to reassure you that we have not been idle since then and a lot of work has been going on in the background to reshape and reform the guidance into a practical and useful guidance document.
The guidance is currently with Welsh Government for final approval and we are hoping to be able to release the document in Autumn for distribution.
