Two of our forum members Penny and Sharon recently attended the Autism Live show in Cardiff to chat to visitors and exhibitors from a variety of organsiations including Carers Wales, Remploy, Dewis Cymru and many more. and to promote the work of the forum and to identify opportunities where we could work with them in the future. The event was attended by people with lived experience of Autism and their carers and this was an ideal opportunity for us to look at expanding our membership and have more carer representation within the forum.
Both forum members attended a number of seminars including:-
- Breaking down Autism into small pieces,
The headline Speaker was Robert White (Runner Up of Britains Got Talent in 2018), who spoke openly about his experience of living with Autism and about the challenges he has experienced living with the condition and also things that he does to help him in his day to day life.
