Welcome to the Wales Mental Health and Wellbeing Forum’s new website.
We are so excited about the launch of the website. It is an excellent example of how far the Forum has come since it was first formed in 2013. The progress the Forum has made over recent years is testament to the passion and hard work that members have demonstrated in wanting to inform and influence changes in mental health services now and in the future.
Our website, along with our Facebook page, is designed to inform you about the work of the Forum, how you can become involved, what we have achieved so far, and our plans for the future.
Alongside having the opportunity to be involved with the Forum’s work in a variety of ways, our website also offers the chance to promote any events you are aware of or involved that our network might find beneficial.
Over the years, the Forum has continued to help influence change in Mental health services. Whilst being supported by Practice Solutions, the forum has taken forward a number of pieces of work. This work includes changing our name from the National Service User and Carer Forum, as members felt that our new name provided a clearer perspective on the geographical areas that our work covers.
The Forum also developed our own logo, tagline and mission statement. This ensures that the Forum is identified as a distinct organisation with the ability to set our own priorities and take work forward.
The Forum has developed our own set of policies along with developing the National Guidance on best practice in service user and carer involvement.
