This report was produced by the forum in 2019 to highlight key issues around suicide prevention. This report links in with the Talk to Me 2 strategy and action plan which covers the period 2015 to 2020, and builds on what has already been achieved and will sustain the momentum of recent years by focusing on a smaller number of achievable objectives and priority actions, all specific to suicide and self harm prevention. The forum looked at themes that they identified as being important and which would compliment the Talk to me 2 strategy.
These themes looked at:
• The unique perspective and contribution of service users and carers
• The importance of knowledge / understanding / education of the public and
service providers
• People receiving timely access to help and advice
• Coordination of preventative actions
